About Me
I have been in photography since I was in my teens. Started out with my Poloroiad insta-matic camera then went into 35mm film cameras with a trusty Minolta X-700 that was my father’s camera. Decided that I wanted to play with video when the first VHS-C camera came out, but decided that it wasn’t for me. It was fun to play with, but I really didn’t have the patience to do the edits and make the videos interesting.
I became interested in still photography again in traveling and decided to pick up the old Minolta. Started to remember how the f-stops, shutter speed and pushing the ISO play with the light. Landscapes, scenery and still life were my favorite subject because they were predictable and could be positioned when and where I wanted them. It wasn’t until recently where I decided to pick up digital cameras.
Started with a point and shoot, but grew out of it in a matter of months. Then started with an upper end point and shoot and decided that I needed more. That is when I graduated to digital SLRs. By this time I decided to shoot more with people and events. This has made photography more interesting for me. I love the candid reactions of people and their reaction once they see the photo they have helped me create. There can be so much emotion, action and life 1n a fraction of a second and I just hope that I can capture it!
I still consider myself a beginner even though I’ve had over 20 years playing with cameras and images, but I feel that I have still so much to learn. I hope that you enjoy the images that I link to and have the opportunity to see my work on my site. May be one day I will have the privilege to capture you’re fractions of a second!
